New Delhi: Avro India Pioneers Waste-to-Wealth Movement with the Nation’s Largest Flexible Plastic Recycling Unit.
During the press conference for the launch of “Operation Shuddhi” BSE-listed Avro India is strengthening its presence in the plastic recycling sector through its wholly owned subsidiary, Avro Recycling Limited. The company operates state-of-the-art manufacturing and recycling facilities in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, supporting its integrated waste-to-wealth business model.
Avro India Joint Managing Director Nikhil Aggarwal said the company plans to expand its recycling footprint across the country through upcoming greenfield projects, reinforcing its long-term commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
“India’s plastic waste challenge cannot be addressed through fragmented initiatives. It demands scale, advanced technology, and strong intent. At Avro, we have invested years in research and development to create a robust system capable of converting complex plastic waste into high-value raw material,” Aggarwal said.
He added that the company’s vision extends beyond recycling alone. “We are building a nationwide ecosystem that transforms waste into opportunity, while contributing meaningfully to environmental protection and circular economy goals.”
Aggarwal further highlighted that Avro India has developed a proprietary recycling system capable of upcycling difficult-to-recycle plastic waste such as cement bags, salt and sugar packaging, putty bags, and calcite packaging materials.
The recycled granules produced at the facility are fully utilised in the manufacture of high-value end-products, including plastic furniture, air coolers, washing machines, automotive components, and a wide range of industrial and consumer applications.
“These recycled granules are available at costs up to 40% lower than virgin plastic, while consistently meeting stringent quality, performance, and durability standards,” he said.
